How long has Lehigh Fuels been in business?
Lehigh Fuels was formed in 1989, when we acquired the Lehigh Valley heating division of Swann Oil.
Why do fuel prices vary so much between the fuel oil companies in the Lehigh Valley?
Some companies have higher overhead costs and higher operating expenses than others.
It pays to compare and save.
Why can’t you adjust fixed prices when the cost of fuel falls during heating oil season?
Unfortunately, we are not able to adjust our fixed prices (up or down) because we have fixed price contracts with our suppliers.
Our suppliers do not change their contracts with us.
Do I have to worry about calling you every time I need oil?
No.
You can easily be set up as an automatic delivery customer, which does not affect your price.
We calculate your next delivery based on temperatures and your past usage.
This means you don’t have to worry about running out of oil.
All we need is a major credit card on file as an assurance of payment.
Why does the price change?
Heating oil is a commodity and trades every day on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX).
Just as the stock market moves up or down every day, so does the price of oil.
When the NYMEX closes each day, the local terminals where we pick up your oil adjust their prices accordingly.
We, in turn, make adjustments to our price, sometimes daily.
What is your delivery area?
Our delivery area primarily encompasses the Lehigh Valley: from the Delaware River to just west of Fogelsville; from the Blue Mountain to Quakertown.

How do your fixed pricing programs work?
Each year, usually in late Spring, we purchase fixed price fuel contracts from our suppliers.
We then set our pre-pay and fixed budget pricing for our customers.
We match the number of gallons that we buy from our suppliers with the number of gallons ordered by our customers.
Do you offer service?
Lehigh Fuels is always competitively priced similar to a discount oil company because of our continued affiliation with 2 local reputable heating and air conditioning companies who offer 24 hour burner service, maintenance contracts and reliable servicing.
Both are long standing companies; reasonably priced; and offer 24 hour service and maintenance contracts.
